Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.11.2013 and declare the correct answers in respect of Paper II 'A' Series key answers for questions Nos.8, 11, 24, 29 and Question No.61 Part III, 84 in the Teachers Eligibility Test conducted on 18.08.2013 and award three marks to the petitioner in respect of the said questions and appoint the petitioner as B.T. Assistant pursuant to the said examination.

For Petitioner : Mrs.A.L.Ganthimathi

For Respondent : Mr.D.Krishnakumar,
Spl. Govt. Pleader

ORDER

The petitioner participated in the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET-II) held on 18.08.2013. The tentative key answers were published calling for objection, if any. Based on the objections and based on the opinion of the experts, final key answers were published and the results were also published after a due valuation. Several writ petitions were filed challenging the key answers to a number of questions. All such writ petitions were considered, while I was sitting in Madurai Bench, and final orders were passed. The relief was given to all the candidates irrespective of fact whether the candidate had approached the court or not. After everything was over, a batch of writ petitions in W.P.(MD) No.19259 of 2013, etc., came to be filed with a grievance in respect of key answers. All such writ petitions were dismissed, by a common order dated 28.11.2013, on the ground of laches and the Writ Appeals filed against that order were also dismissed. Admittedly, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition belatedly. Thus, the petitioner is guilty of laches. Hence, the writ petition deserves only to be dismissed.
2. In the result, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected MP is closed.
